A few winning rockets for Bonfire night
November 5, 2008 by David
A handsome profit was made on last week’s bets following a successful Saturday, so let’s hope it’s more of the same this week.
With the jumps season hitting top gear, Chepstow is the place to profit on Wednesday where trainer Paul Nicholls? Pennellis (3.50) looks a good thing in the finale.
This son of the champion hurdler Alderbrook looks to have been found a suitable opportunity on his racecourse debut, where his handler boasts a 33% record in bumpers.
Earlier on the card is a chance for each-way thieves to get involved as To Arms (2.40) looks booked to make the top three.

Trainer Karl Burke is known more for his exploits on the Flat, so it is interesting he takes on the big jumps trainers with this six-year-old who was a cracking third in a better hurdle here last time. That was just his second outing after a long absence and improvement looks on the cards today.
The ground will be even heavier at Nottingham for their last meeting of the Flat season, where Dream Of Olwyn (4.10) appeals as a solid wager.
Horses that can handle this sort of ground that are in form at this time of the season are worth their weight in gold and James Given?s three-year-old fits the bill.
This filly scooted up over the same course and distance last week and should have no trouble carrying a penalty for that victory.
