Gold Reef hails from the bang-in-form Alan King yard and was last seen running a creditable second in a bumper at Cheltenham in April and he can make a winning debut over the sticks today.

The second bet of the day comes at Lingfield on the artificial All-Weather where Maid Of Ailsa (1.50) is taken to stretch trainer William Haggas? current good form.

This filly was last seen in March at this venue running a cracking debut when third over six furlongs. Although absent since, this well-bred type has a touch of class and market support for her in the betting would add confidence.

We stay at Lingfield for the final bet, which is an opportunity for each-way punters to get stuck into Torrens (3.50). There is no story behind this fellow other than he has been massively dropped in the weights in recent months and caught the eye last time.
