Racing Tips for Monday 10th November

Monday 10th November Racing Tips

Monday is not the strongest day of the week for quality racing, but Carlisle stages a couple of valuable events, including the Weatherbys Graduation Chase where Faasel (1.55) looks the one to beat.
This seven-year-old is usually seen mixing it in much better races and will have too much class for these on this drop in grade. He also hails from the Nicky Richards stable that boasts a very profitable record in chases at Carlisle, and also roared back to form on Saturday with a treble at Kelso.

The All-Weather on the Flat provides the remainder of the action today and it is hoped Wolverhampton can keep the floodlights on today as they failed to shine on Saturday evening, forcing the meeting to be abandoned.
The one that stands out to the Myers eyeballs on Monday’s card is Smalljohn (3.05) in the claimer. These claiming events provide an opportunity for horses that have been finding life tough in handicaps, and
Smalljohn has a tidy record in non-handicap events such as this with form-figures of 12211, including last time over this course and distance. He showed plenty of early speed that day to get a good position from an inside draw before storming home by 5l in a fast time. He has the ideal scenario to repeat the trick today from lane (stall) 1.

The third wager on a tricky day comes over at Southwell, near Nottingham, where Mozayada (2.45) jumps off the card. This four-year-old hadn’t shown much form at all before visiting this venue for the first time six days ago where the slow Fibresand suited him some horses either love it or hate it here. He displayed plenty of early dash – always an advantage around here before just getting nailed late on in a better race than this. He also had to carry an extra 10lb that day just to get into the bottom of the weights and will be a force here where he races off his correct weight.
