Eoghan and Diana were voted by the public to be in the last place sing-off this weekend. Diana, 17, from Blackburn – performed Dido’s White Flag and Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend – looked shocked and stunned as Dermot O’Leary broke the news she was not going to be in the final.
She started crying but that was nothing compared to boyfriend her close friend Eoghan. The 16 year old blubbed and sobbed like a baby. Quigg ran over to Diana bawling, repeatedly saying “I love you”, this despite the fact he had been competing with her for a place in the show’s final.
Diana told Dermot O’Leary: “I’ve absolutely loved it, I’ve had the time of my life.
“I’ve met some amazing people, like Eoghan. I just can’t believe it’s happened.”

The 17-year-old had been odds on to win the show since Laura was controversially voted out, but a recent total lack of difference in her choice of songs and failure to do anything but the same style of song every week probably cost her the final space.
Boy band jls, Londoner Alexandra Burke, 20, and 16-year-old Owen Eoghan Quigg will now go head-to-head in next Saturdays final.
Our money is on JLS to win but Alexandra is by far the best singer..
