The internet + Credit card + Leona = Number One
The fastest selling digital single of all time (at least until Let’s Not Fight This Christmas makes it) now belongs to UK Diva Leona Lewis. With 133,000 units sold, she comfortable claimed the top spot in this week’s singles charts, pushing Take That out of the coveted number one role down to number two.
Mind you the boys shouldn’t have too much to worry about. After a classy return to our TV screens on Sunday night, the resultant publicity lifted their album The Circus to the peak of the album charts. The other big release of the week for albums was Britney Spears album, also called The Circus. It only managed a new entry at number four, with both Oasis and The Killers outselling the former Disney starlet.
