Star Trek: The Novel Generation

Star Trek Novels

The missing novels that never quite made it to print are here.

Star Trek fans are legion in their ability to buy absolutely anything that has the Star Trek name on it (although many will draw the line at a Voyager boxed set), so even though the photoshop comedians have come up with a bundle of Star Trek novels that will never see print, I wonder if they’d still turn a profit in the real world?

While the first Star Trek novel was published in 1970, fans started to lap them up and they;ve been best sellers ever since. But even that first novel, Spock Must Die! by Hugo and Nebula Award Winning author James Blish was despised… by the author himself:

“[anyone studying my work should not] take anything in Spock Must Die! seriously. It was a potboiler, and to keep myself interested I threw into it at random anything that occurred to me whether it made sense or not.”

So Photoshoppers, we salute you. Perhaps you’re closer to the truth than you think with “Ice Bear! Riker! Run Away From The Ice Bear!

(A good news hat tip to Craig McGill, more novel covers at Mighty God King).
