Prison Security Beefed Up As Thieves Break In!
March 11, 2009 by kevin
Security at New Ford Open Prison is being beefed up… because crooks are breaking in to pinch stuff.
Bosses have ordered a crackdown following “numerous” raids in which tools and cleaning equipment have been stolen.
Items nicked include Hoovers, power drills, screwdrivers, hammers – and even a mop and bucket.
Now Ford open prison, which houses 560 inmates at Arundel, West Sussex, faces a major shake-up. In their annual report, independent monitors have called for improved CCTV cameras and a new fence to keep the burglars out.
It seems the inmates are not too bothered about escaping, shows just how tough it is in prison these days
