Political Blogger Iain Dale has finally made it to the big time, in the eyes of Hack Cartoons.
Once you reach a certain point in a political career, you can go no further until the political cartoonists get a hold of you and sort out a ‘public’ image of you.
Much as they hated it, a politician knew they were sorted when Spitting Image moulded them (incidentally is it just me or can we expect that show to return if the Conservative Party return to office?).
So political blogger Iain Dale must be on top of the world this morning, as Hack Cartoons premiere their caricature of him – and promptly ask the audience if he needs devil horns or an angel halo.
All publicity is good publicity in the end, and it helps keep one of my predictions from mid 2008 alive, namely that Iain Dale will be the first blogger to appear on BBC1’s Question Time. Having already racked up appearances on QT Extra and Radio 4’s Any Questions, the odds must be pretty short on getting to the flagship UK Political Program.
