Budget Statement screams out at the Public “we’re in trouble!”

The Wordle graph of the Chancellor’s Speech yesterday to the House of Commons shows the words he used the most. Help springs out, and that’s exactly what everyone else in the UK is thinking as we dissect a debt that’s more than all the debt incurred by previous governments for three hundred years!

Its even clearer in the full budget report, which the BBC have dissected. Top term there is also, unsurprisingly, help. Can someone wake me up, I don’t want to be trapped in an Ealing comedy any more.

If this was a Famous five novel, I’m sure the Chancellor would have signed the note “Dorothy…”
