Widow Leaves Cash For Entire Village In Her Will

A wealthy widow has left money in her will to almost every member of her village.
Margaret Allan, who died aged 90, had no children and wanted to share her riches with her friends in the tiny seaside village she had retired to.
Her instructions were that everyone over 60, who has lived in Solva, West Wales, for at least 20 years, should receive a share of her £400,000 fortune.
Village resident Dave, said: “Margaret was a remarkable woman who was friends with everybody in the village. She and her husband quickly became part of the community. They were regulars at the Ship Inn where she entertained on her birthdays.
“She was housebound before she died, but she was still so interested in the affairs of the village.”
Even Margaret’s cat, Brutus, received a payout. Mrs Allan left £3,000 for someone to care for the ginger tom, to stop him “being put down or going into a cattery”.
We wonder if Russell Crowe has considered Solva in his hunt for a house in Wales? With all the rich people in the village now he would no doubt feel right at home
