Sacha Baron Cohen edits Austrian Masterpiece

Bruno to be recut to grab more teenage viewers.
Following a successful, if not smash hit, opening week of his latest comedy, Bruno, British Comedy Meister Sacha Baron Cohen is taking the scissors to the 18 rated film Bruno and trimming out enough scenes to allow the BBFC to drop the rating to 15.
While still the number one film, the shorter version (by 110 seconds) will allow the larger fan base who haven’t already sneaked in to the adult version to see Cohen’s biting look at the US while laughing at smutty jokes straight out of the Carry-on play book, but devoid of the restraining motherly influence of Hattie Jacques.
And it keeps the film, which has been out for only five days, still top of the news agenda, as it has been for months.
Congrats, Cohen, you’ve got the gift.
