Devils and Stingrays Fight It Out At The Bay

Cardiff Devils powered to a 5-2 victory in an Elite League Challenge Cup match on Sunday night which ended with no fewer than 284 penalty minutes.190 of those came with only 23 seconds remaining. Stingrays Adam Knight dropped the gloves on Devils new import Tyler Michel before Devils enforcer Brad Voth took matter into his own hands.
The duo both recieved double match penalties including travsety of the game as they fought both on and off the ice.

Elsewhere around the league this week, Sheffield Steelers and Belfast Giants shared the spoils in their home and away double header.
Giants taking two points back to Belfast thanks to an amazing comeback which saw them score three times in two minutes 13 seconds.
Nottingham Panthers winning start came to an end on Sunday night away at Newcastle Vipers. A late Vipers surge with goals from Mike Berry and an empty net strike from Matic Kralj were enough for a 5-3 victory.
