“Unbreakable” Self-Defense Umbrella | The Daily Dust delivering the best bric a brac, daily news and events with a British flavour

An American company have unveiled an umbrella to protect against both rain and muggers.

Real Life Self-Defense claim that the Unbreakable Umbrella is as strong as a steel pipe, though it weighs only an unintimidating 775g due to its’ ultra-light steel frame. They claim it is particularly useful when combined with martial-arts such as Kendo. “Anyone who can use a stick for defence can use this umbrella. Do you know how to swing a baseball bat? Do you know how to strike with a sturdy stick? If you do, you know all you need to know,” said a company spokesman.

A video below shows a few maneuvers you can perform with this umbrella. The umbrella can supposedly support a man’s weight. It can be bought in the UK through the internet, with a straight or curved handle.
