Ordnance Survey want you to change their Maps
Will it be more useful than an Army Officer and a compass?
With the catchy name of GeoVation, The UK mapping agency Ordanance Survey wants developers and hackers to take their maps and other available data and see what they can come up with.
Three broad categories are suggested (Crime, Health and the Environment) but the would be mashers are free to go outside the remit and come up with something stunning in their own favourite topics.
After the deadline on the 4th of January, the best entrants will be placed in front of a panel of investors (just like Dragonss Den) to pitch for a first prize of £10,000 (and two runner up prizes for £5,000) to go forward and develop their ideas.
