DD Exclusive: Jedward win will prove a ‘mockery’ says X Factor dance coach

X Factor dance coach Brian Friedman is begging viewers to stop voting for twin duo John and Edward in this year’s live finals.
The choreographer has said victory for the Grimes twins would ‘make a mockery’ of the show and would rather see a much more talented act be crowned the winner.
Friedman feels the show would lose it’s credibility as the country’s biggest singing contest if the twins went all the way, because they do not have any vocal talent.
The news comes after it emerged on Tuesday that John and Edward Grimes received the most votes than any other act on last weekend’s results show.
Odds for the pair to win have now seriously slashed from 100/1 to just 10/1.
Despite John and Edward, both 18, providing the nation with ‘entertaining’ performances, coach Friedman said listening to their acts is like ‘entering the gates of hell’.
Brian said: “I absolutely do not think the Grimes twins deserve to win. And I’m not alone in that – but if you want to make a change you’ve got to get on the phone.”
The dancing ace was at a loss to explain why the public were voting for the twins instead of talented singer and performer Danyl Johnson, who last week found himself in the bottom two.
He said: “There is no way to figure out exactly what the public are voting for.
“But I really hope the viewers with actual music taste got the wake up call they needed wih Danyl and Miss Frank being in the bottom two last week - they have to get voting for people who can sing.”
It is believed judge Simon Cowell (Johnson’s mentor) has ordered Brian to make sure Danyl is not left in the bottom two this week.
The X Factor continues on ITV 1 tonight at 8pm.
