The New Formula One World Champion wants more success.
With the F1 season coming to a close on Sunday, you would think world champion Jenson Button would be relaxing and enjoying his new title.
Not a chance. After sealing the title in Brazil two weeks ago, the new King of Formula 1 is already setting his sights on defending his crown next season.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Button said: “What I’ve been through this season I haven’t experienced before. Mentally it’s been tough.”
“I’ve learnt a lot. I’ll for sure be a stronger driver when I get on the grid for the first race in Bahrain.
“For me winning the world championship has always been my dream since I was a little boy.”
“The next dream is to get out there and challenge the rest of the drivers for the championship next season. That’s the most important thing.”
Sunday’s season finale in Abu Dhabi resulted in Button taking 3rd place and his first podium finish for four races.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel took podium, with team mate Mark Webber finishing 2nd. Britain’s Lewis Hamilton was forced to retire due to technical problems, after starting the race in pole position.
