Will this be the biggest selling video game of all time?
We’ve all seen the video clips and endless hype but will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 live up to its billing?
The experts certainly think so, with the war game tipped to be the biggest selling computer game ever.
The game went on sale in UK stores at 12.00am this morning, with many fans queuing for hours in order to be the first to get their hands on a copy.
The game allows players to take the role of a soldier in either a single player campaign or online multiplayer mode.
The first game received high praise for its cinematic appearance and thrilling set pieces, with the second game expected to carry on and improve on the themes of the original.
Analysts are expecting the game to shift 5 million copies in the first day and around 8 million in the first week, which would even out-do last year’s figures for Grand Theft Auto IV.
Demand has been so high that the Play.com chief, Stuart Rowe, reported that the site was taking 150 pre-orders a minute at peak times.
Fingers crossed that the gameplay will live up to the sales figures and hype!
