At the moment things can’t get any better for X Factor hot favourite Olly Murs – but he found life a lot tougher when he appeared on Channel 4’s Deal or No Deal – winning just £10.

The popular Essex man, 25, was a contestant on the day-time gameshow two years ago, which is hosted by Noel Edmonds.

But after making a decent start, it all went suddenly wrong for Olly as he started to reveal the potential big cash prize figures – meaning he had no option but to go all the way after rejecting offers from the banker.

The popular chap was left gutted when Noel revealed his ‘number fourteen’ box contained only a ‘tenner’.

At one stage, the Essex singer turned down a very tempting offer from the banker for £22,000 (to take home) – a decision he was bound to regret later on.

However if he wins this years X Factor, he will be able to chuck those regrets right out of the window.

During the show, aired in December 2007, Olly proved he had the talent to be a true performer by showing off some groovy dance moves in front of Noel, his fellow contestants and the audience.

Olly is currently priced at odds of just 2/1 to win The X Factor.
