Lily Allen asks everyone to sell her music and keep the change

November 22, 2009 by Ewan

Anti-Piracy artist now for piracy as long as they charge something for it.

Lily, Lily, Lily…

You may recall that previously she did an about turn to say that “piracy was bad” and she was right behind all the labels efforts to get a “three strikes and you’re barred from the internet” if you copied music.

Now, in an interview with radio station Key 103 she says she;s happy for people to burn her CD’s to blank discs and sell them to other people… and keep all the cash.

“If someone comes up with a burnt copy of my CD and offers it to you for £4 I haven’t a problem with that as long as the person buying it places some kind of value on my music," she told the DJ.

So free music will kill the industry, but selling it, pocketing the money, and not giving Allen a cut will save it?

Right, Lily…
