The Dalek that rules Europe alongside Cathy Ashton

New European High Commissioner lives with Doctor Who’s Nemesis.

Now that we know who Europe has selected to be our President and High Commissioner, the truth is coming out about Cathy Ashton, the British Baroness who is now the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union.

(Apart from the fact she’s going to need a very long business card to get all that on).

She lives with a Dalek.

And Ashton, now outed as a big Doctor Who fan, was gifted one on her fiftieth birthday by Davros, the half man half Dalek her husband Peter Kellner, founder of the polling company YouGov.

I can;t help thinking but that’s the perfect negotiation strategy. Ashton calmly lays downthe rational request from the EU, the opposing country says no, and a phalanx of Daleks trundle menacingly into the room behind her and repeat the “request.”
