Rhydian backs Olly for X Factor glory

Former X Factor favourite Rhydian Roberts has backed Olly Murs to win this year’s contest.

The opera singing star turned to be a revelation in the 2007 version of the show – losing out to Leon Jackson in the final.

But the famously white-haired singer is backing the Essex lad to do the honours next month because of his high popularity.

Rhydian said: “Maybe Olly will be this year’s late bloomer; he’s looking the most likely.

Danyl Johnson has to be my favourite at the moment though because he is the best singer, Joe McElderry second and Stacey Solomon third.

“The only problem with Danyl is that the public don’t seem to like him and I think Olly is probably the most popular.”

Catch The X Factor Quarter-Finals on Saturday night at 8pm on ITV 1.
