An upmarket housing estate in Warwickshire has been vandalised by a herd of rampaging cows.
Hundreds of pounds worth of damage was done to the St Nicholas Park Estate during the 45 minute stampede which saw flowers trampled, bins knocked over and cars dented.
One resident was almost crushed while climbing out of his car before police were called in to quell the unrest.
Paul Toon, 50, said: “It was very scary. I heard a rumbling sound like thunder then suddenly a wall of black and white came charging past the house.
“They seemed almost organised. They went from one garden to the next ripping up flowers and even looking in the front windows.
“It was like something off the Cravendale milk advert.”
But this was no staged event. The 15 heifers escaped from a field near Nuneaton during rush hour on Wednesday morning.
After crossing the hectic A5 road, the herd made its way a further half-a-mile to the housing estate where chaos ensued.
Residents and police eventually managed to contain the herd on a grass patch before the animals were returned to the farmer.

I used to live in Nuneaton. This must be the only, remotely intresting thing that has ever happened in this mind numbing place!
