Blushing bride Louise Frazer was thrilled after her groom revealed cards and well-wishes from 60 celebrities last Saturday.

Ross Frazer, from Wolverhampton, secretly wrote to 300 A-list names and received letters and signed photos from the likes of former US president Bill Clinton, Sopranos star James Gandolfini and England rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson.

PM Gordon Brown also sent his best wishes, as did Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe and indie rockers The Manic Street Preachers.

Warehouse worker Ross, 29, gave the cards to his wife in their honeymoon suite after Saturday’s wedding. He said he got the idea after writing to Louise’s favourite band, Stereophonics.

“They wrote back with signatures from the whole band, and even joked about it ‘all being downhill from here’”, he said. “After that I wrote to every famous person I could think of.”

Ross spent a month writing the letters on lunch breaks. Louise, 34, said: “I loved it and love him for doing it. It was a wonderful surprise.”

Queen Elizabeth II also wished the newlyweds luck, although her office confirmed Her Majesty only sends official letters for diamond wedding anniversaries and 100th birthdays.
