Stephen K Amos gets his BBC TV series commissioned.
When you joke at the Royal Variety Performance that the only reason your not on the TV is because the BBC still have Lenny Henry on the books, the last thing you expect is the Duke of Edinburgh recalling that “you’re the guy who wants him shot… that can be arranged.”
Thankfully Mr Henry is still alive, so we can only surmise that Prince Phillip has done something else, because comedian Stephen K Amos finally has his BBC TV series.
To be filmed at some point in 2010, and featuring a mix of stand-up and sketch comedy, alongside audience interaction (Amos riffs on his audience in his live act to a huge extent) we’ll be watching out for this accomplished stand-up’s six part series and if he can make a successful switch to TV.
