The property is just 66 inches wide but is expected to attract a lot of interest.
The unique house, dubbed ‘Britain’s skinniest,’ is located on Goldhawk Road in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, where a shortage of property across the capital has pushed house prices up.
Estate agent Simon Beatson, of Faron Sutaria, said: “I have never seen a house like this – it really is skinny, but that adds to its charm.
“It certainly is one of the thinnest homes in the country.”
Although the property may be on the slim side it actually boasts five floors and 1,000 square-feet of space.
Despite having a price tag of £549,950.00, the unique style and prime location of the house is expected to attract a lot of interest, with Mr Beatson adding:
“The home really does have a big area and it is close to the new Westfield Shopping Centre and only seven minutes walk from the tube.”
That may well be, but if you’re expecting to put on a few extra pounds over Christmas, ‘Britain’s skinniest house’ may not be for you.

wat makes babby so expensive
You’re forgetting the #1 rule of real estate – location, location, location. That’s why it is expensive.
Well if you would read, you would realize they answer your question…
“a shortage of property across the capital has pushed house prices up”
if you know how to read, it says the house is expensive due to a shortage of space.
Dust? Anyone? No?
This is quite a tiny place. I’m not sure how it could fetch so much money. There’s barely enough room for two people to comfortably live there.
the house is expensive because of property values,.the house could be worth sweet truck all but if its on land that is close to where everyone wants to be
then that itsself brings in the big bucks
umm, what makes the house expensive? Did we just read the same article?
They say it’s expensive because it’s near downtown, but most likely it is expensive because it is a novelty
because the size “adds to it’s charm”
I swear these guys will try to make a pile of rubble sound good if they’re tasked with selling them.
..reading comprehension not your strong suit then willy?
He already said why houses are expensive you idiot, read the damn article.
” where a shortage of property across the capital has pushed house prices up.”
Because it’s a novelty… If a house shaped like Minas Tirith was on sale for 2 million, would you not buy it?
because they so cleverly choose to sell it at that price
they’ve definitely given people an incentive to buy it (due to the popularity of it now)
wow, i thought i had seen everything in real-estate until i saw this. i loved the westfield selling point, what can you put inside a house like that?
Supply and demand, Willy.
LOCATION!
Think it’s due to a house shortage in London. Plus the house has 5 floors and is quite unique. Guess that adds to the value?
The smallest house I’ve ever seen
but why the price is very expensive!
now i understand
I think these homeowners have been lucky a lot
I would probably go crazy in it and I am not even claustrophobic
Nice I wouldn’t mind just going on a tour of this little house.
Wow that is almost as bad as price of housing in the SF bay area…. almost.
Wow that is almost as bad as price of housing in the SF bay area…. almost.
why those houses in U.K is so expensive? even they are the ugliest and the skinniest property on that area? It’s because it’s in the prestigious location. If you want to buy a house for your investment always look for LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.
