Prescott to star in BBC’s Gavin and Stacey
Former Deputy-Prime Minister John Prescott will appear as himself on BBC hit comedy Gavin and Stacey next month.
Prescott, famously nicknamed ‘Two Jags’ plays a guest at character Nessa’s Jenkins wedding on the New Year’s Day episode – the last ever of the show.
Throughout the course of the comedy, Nessa has alleged she has had romances with Prescott and the likes of comedian Russell Brand and actor Nigel Havers.
Prescott announced his exciting news on Twitter earlier today, tweeting: “Now you know what’s occurin’ on Jan 1.”
It is unlikely that this appearance will trigger a change in career path for the former deputy – so don’t get your hopes up!
