Hatton wants to end his career with “a war”

To say Ricky Hatton will not go out without a fight sounds rather obvious.

But the former welter and light-welterweight world champion has said that he wants “an absolute war of a fight” to end his days in the ring.

Hatton, 31, shot to fame in 2005, winning his first world title by defeating Kostya Tszyu after 11 rounds.

But he has not fought since his second round knock-out at the fists of Manny Pacquiao in May.

He said: “My fight with Manny is not the way I’d like to bow out. I’d like to bow out like Tszyu in an absolute war.”

It has been reported that Hatton may fight IBO welterweight champion Lovemore N’dou, who controversially drew with his younger brother Matthew last month.
