Jamie and Louise Redknapp’s television adverts have done wonders for holiday giant Thomas Cook it seems.
The new campaign, starring the former Liverpool and England midfielder and his pop-star wife, has helped to increase UK bookings by 15 per cent in the past four weeks for the company.
The adverts show Jamie and Louise relaxing on a luxury holiday with the pair talking about the highs of going away together.
Manny Fontenia-Novoa, chief executive of Thomas Cook said he was so thrilled about the campaign’s success, he was considering of extending it after its close-off point.
He also thought the campaign went down with females, as he believed they were the decision makers on booking a holiday.
He said: “The campaign is about selling dreams, not nuts and bolts, and those dreams appear to women. People are feeling a bit more confident than last year, but it’s not back to 2008 levels (sale figures) yet.”
