Lady Gaga and JLS stormed to glory last night by bagging FIVE gongs between them in last nights 30th Brit awards ceremony.
The ‘Just Dance’ pop ace claimed a hat-trick of awards – winning International Breakthrough, International Female and International Album for ‘The Fame’.
Gaga was very emotional on the night after collecting her awards and said with a tear in her eye: “I want to thank everyone who has believed in me. You are the best fans ever.”
It was also a great night for boyband JLS who claimed their first two Brit gongs in their careers. The ‘One Shot’ stars won Best British Breakthrough and their debut smash hit ‘Beat Again’ was voted as Best Single.
There was also glory for Kasabian and Dizzee Rascal who won the awards for Best Group and Best British Male respectively.
Lily Allen won Best British Female and Florence and The Machine had a night to remember after her debut Album ‘Lungs’ was awarded Best Album.
US rapper Jay-Z won Best International Male and newcomer Ellie Goulding secured the Critics Choice gong.
As in usual Brits ceremonies, there was to be some controversy, when Liam Gallagher came up to receive Oasis’ gong as Best British Album of 30 Years.
The wild rocker made a short and foul-mouthed speech – thanking all his former bandmates who helped make the album – apart from his brother Noel Gallagher - who sensationally quit the band last year. Both brothers last year also made it known of their poor relationship with each other.
If that wasn’t enough, Liam then threw his microphone into the crowd and gave the gong to a fan and walked off with guest Noddy Holder – causing host Peter Kay to say straight afterwards: “What a Kn*bhead”.
There was also glory for the Spice Girls, who claimed the other ‘anniversary’ award by winning Best Brits Performance of 30 Years.
The ceremony closed on Robbie Williams who performed a medley of some his greatest hits after winning the Outstanding Contribution to Music accolade.
There was also fantastic performances on the night from Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, JLS, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, Dizzee Rascal and Florence and The Machine and Cheryl Cole.
