Prince William has appeared in a new portrait with a suspiciously luxuriant thatch.
He graces the cover of the latest edition of Hello! magazine sporting thick, dark hair – a marked change from his natural sandy locks.
The 27-year-old prince is also succumbing to premature baldness, as can be seen here.
The portrait was part of a project run by Crisis, the homeless charity of which he is a patron, and was taken by Jeff Hubbard, a former homeless man whom the charity helped get off the streets.
Some have suspected vanity as the reason for the tonsorial irregularity, whilst others have blamed an error in the way the magazine was printed.
In a statement by St James’s Palace, William’s spokesman said: “Studio lighting and work on colour contrasts in the prints have all contributed to the particular look of the portraits.”
Here at Dust Towers, the resident image expert suspects over-enthusiastic Photoshop witchcraft as the culprit.
