What if there was nobody on the Underground?

James Whatley gathers the perfect Monday morning trip to work

Struggled into work today? Wish everyone would just get out the way and let you get on with living? Well perhaps you can find your Zen thanks to James Whatley (with a hat tip to Annie Mole as well).

His Flickr group of pictures online show the London Underground as nature intended… abandoned, empty, yet still running and available for your own public transporting pleasure around the Capital.

Commenting on the story, London Underground worker Nigel let everyone into a little secret, “the sense of eerieness you get walking round a tube station at night, when all the passengers have gone to work or to bed is something else. Turn the escalators off, and the quietness is very odd to the senses. Very comforting in in one sense, very eerie in the other. But, maybe its just me.”
