…. And it’s still going!

Wimbledon produced a record breaking day on Wednesday, with the longest tennis match ever recorded.

John Isner (USA) and Nicolas Mahut (France) played out an epic fifth set on Court 18, that lasted over seven hours before play was stopped for bad light.

With the match at two-sets-all, the pair played out an incredible 118 games in the fifth set, to leave the score at 59-59.

It is already the longest tennis match ever recorded, with the marathon set to resume on Court 18 on Thursday afternoon.

The match has also broken a new aces record, with Isner so far recording 98 aces and Mahut standing at 95. The previous record was 78.

I’m guessing both players may have a few aches and pains this morning.
