Dr Who fans correct Davina McCall | The Daily Dust delivering the best bric a brac, daily news and events with a British flavour

Million Pound Drop contestants will get another go as Channel 4 get the wrong answer.

It seemed a simple enough question: "Which actor was the longest-serviing Doctor (in the popular TV series Doctor Who.” After the contestants piled up all their money on Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann, they lost the lot as host Davina McCall declared David Tennant to be correct.

And the Doctor Who fans hit the airwaves, because while Tennant has been on-screen the longest (2005-2009), the period between his first and last episode makes Sylvester McCoy the holder (1987-1996).

Channel 4, now a touch embarrassed, will invite Johnny and Dee back to the show this weekend with their money back to carry on with some more questions.

Hat tip to DS.
