As Wimbledon starts, it’s important to realise that the great summer tradition has rules. That would be "how to queue."

Yes, the All-England Club has done what every American has suspected is true – codified the British rules about how to queue for something. If you are waiting to get into Wimbledon, please pay attention, this is how to do it.

For example (and there are more)

  • Do not play music or ball games etc. after 10.00pm At this time all campers must be close to their tents and settling down for the night, recognising that other campers will be going to sleep. This rule is strictly enforced.
  • Loud music must NOT be played at any time (use personal headphones).
